A little more about me…

I’ve always been drawn to performing and connecting with people, whether on stage or behind a microphone. My love of storytelling began with opera, performing at weddings and competitions, where I learned how to captivate an audience, and create a genuine connection, skills that continue to shape the way I approach journalism today.

My journey into journalism took an unexpected but defining turn when I spotted a Facebook ad for a role at BBC Radio Lincolnshire during my second year at Newcastle University. That first opportunity plunged me into the fast-paced, ever-changing world of broadcast journalism, and I quickly realised it was exactly where I belonged.

Travel has also been a key part of my story. Working internationally as a Marketing and Business Intern with Piktalent in Sevilla, Spain, I learned to connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds, even when language was a barrier.

I have a deep love for film, TV, and pop culture, but what truly drives me is telling stories that inspire hope, make a meaningful impact, and bring communities together.
